The Cry

The Cry

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

At night

I would cry out for you.

I would reach for you

But only catch blank air.

Why did you leave?

Now I must go on

By myself.

I must resist

The tears

That dwell inside

Of me.

For you

Are not worth

My tears.

I sleep better

Now at night

Without you there.

It feels good to have

A nice, peaceful sleep again.

Instead of having

An argument every

Minute we eye eachother.

That was dumb

Over.

And I am done.

Now that you are gone.
