Ourselves We Lost

Ourselves We Lost

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

How many days

Until we stop remembering?

How long

Until we lose our minds?

We count the days

We stood there staring.

Either way

We couldn't stop time.

It was dear to us

We had to love it.

Precious

We had to hold on.

But it wasn't long

Until we lost ourselves.
