Can't Do Much Else

Can't Do Much Else

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

I admit

I didn't give it my all.

But at least I tried.

I'm still missing you greatly.

I'm sure it won't go away soon.

I lay in bed with the lights off

Just staring at the ceiling.

That's all I can do

Since I can't sleep.

Wish you here

With your arms around me.

But all I feel is the cold air

Hugging my body.

I close my eyes

And the dreams arrive.

I can't do much else.

I've been there. I can identify with this one greatly. Its well written and very eloquently stated.

Oh, the feeling that gets stuck on us when missing someone ... all we can do is hope ... hoping that the person comes back ... or hoping that the memories fade away, but we know it is something quite impossible ... so we have to just live and be haunted by all we ever had ... Can't Do Much Else ...
And you portrayed it very well in this poem.
