Her Voice

Her Voice

A Poem by T.D.

You say you're not good enough.
But what evidence do you have?
Is it your voice you're hearing?
Or is it hers?

Her voice is so loud.
It's so angry.
I can feel the anger.
I can feel the judgment.
I'm not her.
I will never be her.

There is so much undoing that still needs to be done.
And that voice loves to creep in.
It tells me I'm not good enough,
Even thing I've always been more than enough.
