yearning

yearning

A Poem by Emily B
"

an old one that I deleted somehow

"

The hills lay raw and bare.

Unbound breasts heaving

in the gray mist of early morning.

I wish I were the hills

and this car you're driving

was a strong, slow hand

snaking around my own loosed curves.

I want to be crossed by your

barest elemental energies--

moved by passion’s own embrace.

I want to stretch and reach the sky

and stretch and touch the dirt

and feel each resonant-twinge in between.

I want to be filled with the light

and the heat of a new day--

just as the valley

after the fog is burned away.

I want to feel the vibrations of thunder

deep in the middle of me

rumbling of something resembling change

 again and again and again

until the light is extinguished.

Then I will breathe deep and slow

breasts heaving raw and bare

in the gray mist of a hillnight.

What a great metaphor for passion and love...there is something about the exhilaration of speed that is so very closely related to the emotions found in the throws of passion.

Then I will breathe deep and slow
breasts heaving raw and bare
in the gray mist of a hillnight. -- love these lines...the word "hillnight" is so beautiful.

You write with raw emotion, and for that I absolutely can relate to your work on an emotional level. Beautifully done...

... ah ... bliss ... somewhere between inertia and exertion ... to saunter into satiation ... beyond reason or romance ... to just be ... embody ... experience ... entrench ... stunning poetry ... exotic ... (highest rating) ...

You have created the sweat factor with your words and metaphor, you must of let your hair down before you wrote this sensual piece...so descriptive in its meaning of freedom in more ways than one.

.... within us there is reaching out and need and elemental forces that should be expressed and if they are not expressed then can you have the truth of what is in you. ...yearning glimpses the true...

it is not just a ride and hills, and a dream and a car, but the forms of some natural thing rushing up to capture two people, to make a one thing, a one creation.... man-un-kind is creator of the anthropomorphic power in a way, we create the gods...with fire, and a will toward truth matched by the will to love.

this writer got excited over the whole thing, the poem just brings about that yearning....................................

i always wanted to be a nature poet, i really did, many years ago, but everything i wrote just came out flat and lifeless. it broke my heart but i moved on.

this is a wonderful piece emily, so much energy and movement, great wording and such strong conections between the world and the longing of the human mind. very well done.

I love the early morning, when dreams flow, before the hustle and bustle of the day... and feel of the sheet on naked body, the sense of the elements, the reverie of the mind - all create a sense of longing for the contact that fulfils our desires and touches the core of our beings..
