my apologies

my apologies

A Poem by Emily B

I know what you're thinking

and I'm sorry.

I can't explain.

I don't have words enough for it . . .

I want to be honest.

Bare all to you,

it's just there's so much weight

bearing on me today.

Too many voices

whispering in my ear -

wanting too many things.

I may avoid your gaze now

but later

the skies will clear again

This is a beautiful and honest piece. Often, I find myself not wanting to be around people that I normally love to be with and it's nothing they've done, it's just my cloudy head not finding the words. You have such a way of putting such deep and unexplainable emotions into words and I so admire you for that.

We need space and understanding.
Respect your needs and all else
will fall into place.

A good write, too!

Beautifully expressed... and I know what you mean exactly. Your work is so Divinely simple... which is the most difficult thing to accomplish. Love to you

Emily, this is a beautiful, soulful poem. I see two meanings in this and that makes it even nicer. Like a two-for-one.

What a lovely write explaining the need for solitude without having to say what is on your mind until it clears and the thoughts flow freely, as we sort them out in our mind before ever trying to explain them to another. Very well said1

How well this expresses our sense of our own inadequacy... we want to do more, we long to touch and to communicate... but life's weight presses in a stands in the way... Your writing is so very affecting... it moves me often
