A Poem by Emily

I'm tired of being burdened by time
I don't want my life planned out
By the ticking of a clock.

I don't want to be startled
By an alarm
Jolted unnaturally awake.

I want to flow to the rhythm
Of my body's own
Electrical zigzag.

I am not fooled by the illusion
Of the fourth dimension
A shield created to hide
The fifth.

Imagine life without the
Measurement of years, hours, seconds
This is where we all can be at peace
Beyond time
Timeless.
