A Poem by awkward turtle
"

i wrote this a few months ago, never posted it here.

"

my back aches and C-R-A-C-K-s

this chair creaks when i wiggle around

headphones in my ears, i try to drown out

my own thoughts as noisy distractions

i pull my hair out of its braid

let my hair fall messy around my shoulders

whish-whish-whish

i hear the whir of the elevator

rising falling rising falling rising falling

ding-ding

a group of four steps out

they're all dressed the same

hoodies and sandals

gatorades in hand

they see us occupying half of this space

they stand awkwardly, trying to remain cool

they decide against

swish-swish-swish

windpants walk away
