Not too proud of this one

You’re so cruel that I go blind

Sometimes, as all else in my mind

Goes

And I can only think of your words

And if I’m being oversensitive

As to why your words so easily hurt

 

Sweet syllables sometimes, harsh tone the next

I’m always on the edge, tripping on your sentences

Do I always leave you vexed?

 Or is it somehow more complex?

I’m always begging for your repentance

 

And when you dismiss me with a cruel eye

And casual ‘shut up’, how is it that I

With all my love to give and so much more

Feel like it is I who you abhor?

I feel like my love and energy have run dry

Please love, give me peace of mind
