My enchanted love be true

My enchanted love be true

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

What chances have I, to win at this?

Can words enchant you, or can a kiss?

I ponder the reasons with which I fell

You, beloved, in my heart dwell

Lay I, in timid wonder of you, sir

your cause to do this; my soul to stir

your love is powerful, as love of old

Chiseled and honed to reflect your soul

I languish myself beneath your shade

Its colors I bath in, never to fade

You are as mettle forged in solidity

within your embrace I'll remain to be

My mind paints a woman, not on her knees in body but in heart. The words are more meant for one than many, but it applies to all readers. this was very charming, honest, and a little painful, but pretty.
