Christmas Time

Christmas Time

A Poem by Lavery the Librettist

December is here, theres frost in the air,
Scarves and gloves are a plenty, no skin is left bare.
To everyone, this is a sign,
The festive seasons upon us, its christmas time.

The presents are wrapped, tucked under the tree,
Precisely selloptaped, so noone can see.
The turkeys been ordered, the crackers are in,
Mums stockpiling her mulled wine essentials, especially the cinnamin.

A time for family gatherings, and yuletide festive cheer,
Best not forget to get dads drink, he really loves a beer.
The prawns will be defrosting, mums ham boiling mad,
My dads sausage stuffing, is the best iv ever had.

But lets take the time to think, of all those that arent here,
Those loved ones who have left this earth, or who wont b home this year.
Well send them all our christmas love, and best wishes for nxt year,
Merry christmas to everyone, and all i hold so dear
