Caving In

Caving In

A Poem by En.Ki

silence in a song

with the fog rolling in

the room caves so thin

the hole in my heart

the place you used to be...

words, like memories

spoken and forgotten

bound

left rotting...

violence in my thoughts

self anticipating

the way your facing

with your back now... to me

your light, with symmetry

blinding and defining

found

but it's not the cure

your sacrifice is deeper

than the surface.

just walk away

let the hole in my heart finally cave

seal the tears inside

until the river drowns

and I come clean

for everything I've been

I'm sorry for my part

in severing your heart

and seperating you from your kin,

but your sin

once hidden from the world

is now in plain view and I need something more,

I need something new

from you...

silence in a song

with the fog rolling in

the room caves so thin

the hole in my heart

the place you used to be...
