Keep Calm

Keep Calm

A Poem by En.Ki

I find myself anxious from the thought of it

The smell

The lights

The sound

The height of it

Burned into my mind

Creative it seems

Captured by the time it felt right in front of me

I am burden by the way I am

A desperate man with desperate plans

To reprimand a loving hand

And hold it close to me

A darkened disposition

Buried in erratic thought

A burned at the stake kind of imposition

I hope you’re not dragging me along

Could I collapse?

Could I fall?

Could simple words solve it all?

But I break down into a million pieces

What’s it like to be at peace?

Keep calm

Breathe slowly

Keep calm

Breathe deep

Keep calm…

I’m losing my mind …

I’m losing it…

A darkened disposition

Buried in erratic thought

A burned at the stake kind of imposition

I hope you’re not dragging me along

Are you dragging me along?

Some tongues I wish to sever

But I stay silent for the better,

A greater good

A fallacy

A better plan

It’s just who I am

A desperate man with desperate plans

To reprimand a loving hand

And hold it close to me…
