Horse

Horse

A Poem by Woody
"

waiting to receive my present.

"

I was waiting for my present, by the racecourse

When he arrived last, he said “I’m a little hoarse”

I heard it straight from the horse’s mouth

As his head pointed East and his rear end, South

But you don’t look a gift horse in the arse.

(sorry but I can’t use “mouth” twice, can I?)

You can use mouth twice, but only if you speak out of both sides of your mouth. I suppose that applies to that other part of your anatomy too.
As usual Woody, great work. Mr. Ed used to say, "A horse is a horse, of course, of course, and nobody can talk to a horse of course unless the horses name is the famous Mr. Ed." Gee, I like that TV jingle almost as much as Gilligan's Island. Speaking of which, did you know you can sing Amazing Grace to the tune of Gilligan's Island. Try it sometime. Be warned, it will ruin the song for you (Amazing Grace)

hahaha sometimes, I pretend to be a poet. thanks Dear.
You might be able to work in the word "drouth", but that's more than I can do.

I thought everybody in the world had heard of "Gilligan's Island." I thought people on other planets watched it regularly.

Playful, amusing, and quite funny as usual. You do have an odd and very interesting perspective on things that is expressed in your writing. Very cool!
