Life

Life

A Poem by Rocksie

"What's the point?"
I asked myself today.
"Just keep going"
This isn't a game.

Life isn't fiction.
You can't hit pause or play.
You can't just rewind,
When you make a mistake.

Once the story's set,
There's no way to erase.
Your hope's an illusion,
your ambition a charade.

Who are you?
Not a soul can say.
Travelling aimlessly,
Going day by day.

----------------

Stop for a minute.
Give yourself a break.
Your charm and essence,
Is yours to make.

Enjoy the oceans,
Swim in the lakes.
Ask questions,
Cast answers away.

Learn to act or swing,
Or perhaps to paint.
Stand up, stand out.
Go dream, be brave!

Don't follow the beaten path,
In a slow strut to the grave.
Life's not simply a march,
It's a f*****g parade.
