Us Living Things

Us Living Things

A Poem by Blank
"

A poem about being stuck in between images and constructions that try to hold us back

"

                                 Here we are again

And we’re left awake in between recurring dreams-

of what we’d like to be

                                     of what we wouldn’t-

Dreams produced in a slumbering factory

where everyone clocks in the time that they’d rather just pass

                                                                    As a non-living thing

A slumbering factory dreamt up by those seeking comforting sleep from dreaming again

And everyday the factory dreams:

         here all life lies

 sleeping

                        But here we are again
