The rose and the rainA Poem by Esme ElanaGloria you are the flames, the rose and the rain. You are everything and you are nothing. Your fate a dusty rose, but instead you fade to coal.
You ride a train, on a rusty railway To darkness, where you lived, in the grey. By the willow tree.
Do you remember, Gloria? The blue ribbon in your hair And the dusty rose on your dress
Please remember, Gloria! The rose and the rain How you were everything as you were nothing. Your life and the pain.
Let me see the flames Gloria! Once again, Your burning rage. In dusty rose, In the rain. © 2013 Esme ElanaAuthor's Note
