Desire

Desire

A Poem by KayOss
"

How many different messages can be conveyed within one poem?

"

Let me love you
Only you- no one else
Very intense and true
Emotions building within

Mesmerized by you
Earnest and eager

Love pours from my core
I am losing control
Kissing your soft lips
Embracing your essence

I want you.

Listlessly I wait
Open to you
Visualizing your smile
Easing into my soul

Yearning for your touch
Overwhelmed with desire
Unbridled passion unfolding

Your words leave me wanting more!
Nice.

'Visualizing your smile
Easing into my soul,'

My favorite line.
Thanks for sharing!

In answer to your question, oh so many! This, for example, doesn't necessarily have to refer to a lover. It could be a poem, or a song, or a moment in time you never wish to forget. That's what's so beautiful about poetry, it can have intense literal and sub-literal messages.

Again, just a suggestion, but take a look at how this would sound without the gerrands. Maybe you'll see it in a different light, maybe not. It's a personal preference, perhaps :-)

This was a nice poem, yet words that I've heard before.
For example when you wrote: Yearning for your touch
Overwhelmed with desire
Unbridled passion unfolding...these are words that sound
so ordinary. Maybe, adding something like the the petals
unfold to scent you in. That is just a example, and I don't
expect someone to write as I do...just saying using unusual
words to describe something ordinary. I did however like the
line: Listlessly I wait
Open to you
Visualizing your smile
Easing into my soul

I thought those lines were just beautiful.
I think if you let go, you would feel more.
You do have a very nice talent.
