Wing-Collector

Wing-Collector

A Poem by Esoteric Strand
"

picture prompt, speed write and half rhymes

"

So the demon downs another Angel.

She looks for more on the horizon

A happy servant,

dubbed hubby to be.

Can’t muster the cunning

for escape or trickery.

She wants to possess

Locked away in a chest

Something old, something new,

something tried, something true,

but not blue.

She wants to possess

Envious wing-snipper!

Sad, they’re bound to be bound and gagged.

Tempers flare, things are thrown

Casket-sealed freedom, man laid low.
