A Poem by Tessa Le Rouge
"

life.

"

the only way out of a bad place,

the only way to see the sun rise,

is by going through the everythings.

night life, cheap wine, fast cars,

fast women, easy men-

the beginning.

noon awakenings, hang overs,

slow buses, horrible one night stands-

the middle.

sleepless weeks, thrist-filled days,

lonely nights, tough reality-

the end.

but what does it all mean?

where does the beginning

meet the inevitable end?

who is that person next to you?

what did you drink last night?

why does your heart feel empty?

if i've learned anything-

and i've had plenty of lessons-

life teaches you nothing.

it's all about reading between the lines

and figuring out the figurative meaning.

reality is really just a predictable game.
