Nothing.

Nothing.

A Story by EternalMist
"

An ambiguous, dark and dramatic Flash Fiction piece that encapsulates fear at it's finest.

"

I always thought I knew what alone meant. But as I floated around the thick, condensed atmosphere, laced with fear, entirely numb, I begun to doubt anything I’d ever known. The boom of voices far in the distance comforted me, as I continued to slowly drift through my nightmare. Memories of times before haunt me, they stalk me, viciously, and I’m the only prey around for miles. I am surrounded by a dark void of nothing, but at the same time vivid reminders of times I’d rather forget.  It’s like I am encased within my own thoughts, lost within my mind. The same image, copies my every move, as if I could re-live the moment. My life flashes before my eyes, in an intense moment of regret. Everything I’ve ever wanted, and then this. The emptiness.

I always thought I knew what alone meant until now.
