Something I wrote a while back. I found a pile of old poems I wrote, so I'll be posting them on here.

Relish safety while you breathe
I hope you choke on your misconceptions
On what you call reality

Don't remember the bleeding
Or any of the screaming
That's all for me to bear
Not you

Just like a broken wing
Resting still on a black bird
Sit in darkness while you cradle the scars
I still have to hold my limbs together
Hoping I don't slip and lose an arm

The monsters never cared about you
Your hopes and dreams
Why would they?
Their master is their top priority
And granting wishes brings gifts of immortality

You were too silly to even think they would grant yours

I had to do what I had to
Give them my life for your own
I loved you
And I still do
But you're a f*****g harlot
Sucking souls from the deceived
Just like the demons below

Remember that
I did this for you
I died for you
Just another simpleton
