Sacred Peace

Sacred Peace

A Poem by Ether Gabriel

Long time ago I searched hard
For that place in my heart
So far away; can't be found
Veiled from the pain, cloaked and bound.

Lies I've told, and deceived
All alone, I have grieved
Weakness has set in; been so low
Turned to the drink from sorrow.

Angel of light found my hand
Trapped, cut and lost with no sound
Kiss to the lips in a trance
All of my fears have now passed.

I stare into those blue eyes
My heart knows I've found true love
All of the pain has left me
Forever a slave to beauty.

My life has gone, left this world that corrupted me
Old, frail, worn, I wish my soul can be set free
My heart's last beat, my lung's last breath consuming me
My eyes' last sight was that angel that saved me.

I love your free writing and think that you have amazing talent!
I really like the second to last one the most because I think that the whole world is a slave to beauty. That's why everyone is so superficial all the time. I love this poem and hope to hear more from you :)

Keep it up bro!
