A Poet's Charge

`

 

 

keeping our heads
close to the ground!
so we can hear
the little creatures cry
almost voiceless
and certainly unheard
but with our pens
scream to the sky!

As poets, our creative souls see our external world differently than most, we hear that which is unheard as you said. In addition to this, our inner voices, really our inner selves; beneath the flesh, comes out every time we write.

Indeed. For self and those like self, granting the thought that we all are more alike than the differences that we live. We are our siblings' keeper it would seem.

Be the voice for those unheard! Poetry is an art letting you express yourself. However we csn use it to our advantage to convey inportsnt messages, to help the little creatures who find no hope. This is a call to action, it seems. Well penned!

Thank you Aura, yes. Poetry can be seen as an outward action of an inward state. To apply it to our surrounding experience and empathise poetically with those around us brings this action ever outward, as in arms reaching for those that we love.
