Frederic, the metaphors are wonderfully beautiful in this work of art. It reignites the embers of recognition that need to be fanned to give the light to see it. Even then the shadows hide some of its meaning. Nevertheless, by the light of the midnight sun it may be revealed. I loved the who piece but the last stanza really got me. I wish I had written it.

Really nice write. Love the format of short stanzas. So effective here Freds. The third stanza ends on a brighter note.

fun read Fred. ist half takes you in direction of hard goodbye, which you so subtly pull us back from with the playful reminisce of the poem's 2nd half. A bit of roadside 3 card monte.
