The black rose. I never gave. The black rose symbols death or dead end. They are beautiful, the black rose. I want to grow black roses in my garden. I have the English red and white. Hello dear Frederick. I did enjoy the poetry.

The black rose incredible beauty also the name of a book I think. I would like to see a blue rose like the Himalayas blue poppy. Now that would be a treat. Not the type of rose for valentines unless you are into Goth. Nice writing.

Greed kills all it touches. Thus does the rose perish before its time. Like all else, its starts in the heart.

great poem, I love black roses. Unlike many, I don't perceive them as evil but as a perfect rarity

A black rose speaks to me of evil and darkness and avarice is extreme greed. This rose is not one for the keeping I would say. Excellent piece Freds.

Thanks Chris. It's kind of an amorphous metaphor which really suits. Cheers, /Freds.
