in public view

in public view

A Poem by redd Brick Keshner

In public spaces, moments pierce the soul,
Excruciating scenes that resonate deep.
Abandoned at the mall, I lose control,
You’ve turned away, your silence cuts, and weeps.

It’s not about the meals left on this tray,
But rather the weight of what remains unsaid.
So here we stand, with hearts in disarray,
Don’t come back now, let this chapter end.

What’s left is emptiness, a hollow score,
Go on, don’t look behind at what you’ve wrought.
You’ve ravaged me, and I can’t take much more,
The pain persists, a lesson harshly taught.

Yet still, I stand, though shattered to the core,
In view of this, I find I can't say more.

It is in public that we are most vulnerable, open to the view of others that can see our pain our deepest wounds, to be victim of pity, sign of weakness, bullying, ridicule a public stoning in words and thoughts. One does not feel free to voice inner emotions baring oneself to the world for fear of emotional arrest for public indecency and excomunication for sacrilidge. What is left on the tray is indeed the unfinished business that can not be finished here. All ends in a lack of words. Very Nice my friend
