Beginnings...

Beginnings...

A Poem by Wesley Carter

Cause and effect cause ends, and beginnings

Our minds, swimming, with knowledge and emotion

Unbeknownst to oneself, a power within, spinning's

Of neurons, most don't realize, our minds commotion

Or of the notion, we are the master's of our thoughts

Floating out infinitely into the universe

Our mind's eye see's what our eye's do not

Until our consciousness's end, we rehearse

Who we are until we come to the final end

I don't believe there is ever an end, but this is a good poem with it's meaning stwming from idealism.

I believe in idealism, but I believe in many things. The belief in a third eye is a spiritual belief, where as a final end is not. A cannot equal c if b is not the correct integer, mathematically speaking.

Still this a great and interesting piece, and I applaud you on that. Good work :)

i believe that we work all of our lives to become who we are supposed to be. here we are these imperfect shells going through life trying to muster up empathy, compassion and understanding- and work against our humanness to get to those higher conscious places- and all too often we fall prey to history repeating itself because of habit- and we have a really hard time of letting go of ourselves.. great write. definitely made me think.

well, our minds do swim with knowledge and emotion, but i doubt we are truly the masters of our thoughts
