THE DASH

THE DASH

A Poem by DrD

I went to the cemetery today

And sat on new mown grass

Fragrant from the cutting

And leaned against marble

Running my fingers over dates

1952 -- 1994

And I was so thankful, darling

That the dash in the middle

Was me.
