Red Drips

Red Drips

This probably my most straight-up Goth/Emo poem yet.

Red Drips

Tick-tock tattle-tale

Wishful and wonderful

Something sleeps under the bed

Awake another lies in my head

Imposters of false ghosts

Incapacitate their own hosts

Black ropes bound

A smashed old wine rack found

Snuffed soul-light fades

Another fortune smile's daze

Feared as much as jaded

From the day we were created

Give a dog a chicken bone

Break the handle of the only phone

A broken doll with a severed thread

Inspiring courageous dread

Inside this empty hole of mind

Another expanse left to find

Diggin the graves of the damned

Everything falls as planned

I can feel someone watching me

They always whisper purity

Red liquid drips from fingers

Splashing on the robed dancers
