eyudo's thousand shadows

eyudo's thousand shadows

A Poem by Eyudo

Eyudo's
thousand shadows

Controlling the shadows that reign from any light
One thousand aligned in his sight
The power not able to be done by just one man
He focuses on the tasks laid at hand

Tempting some laws he is sworn to abide
Surrounded in once he will throw them aside
His shadow army he solemnly guides
No time to be taken, no time for pride

The color of his fur the same as shadows he calls back
The leader matches his army in his coat of black
The color projects his job and what he lives for
Out in the open and hidden no more

A job very tiring but important still
Too much responsibility for nearly any creature to fill
Commanding shadows, protecting them, and living a fight
Always seeking new recruits to indite

Anything happens while he's on duty
He waits for the darkness made by his cutey
Then he takes over and it's quickly done
In darkness good has fought and it has won

Though services are always needed
Pleasures do come when he follows the clouds
Bringing the shaped shadows from it to life
Using the fun as a blade to cut away the strife

At days end the moon light is his bed
Where he himself seems only a shadow
He gives off a small sigh and his shadows reply
Goodnight Eyudo the wolf
