Incandescent Life

Incandescent Life

A Poem by Ezekiel

There was a time where

Your limbs were monkeys.

The eyes are infected with

Soap and acid.

This is the moment when

Toothpicks are gargantuan swords.

You reach that surface,

Knowing only two things:

Your arms are presented with

The dark bags underneath the eyes of the galaxy;

The planets are being corrupted.

Tell the moon to come, now.
