The Silent Dragonfly

The Silent Dragonfly

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver

Year poem was written: 2012

Her wings flutter through the breeze swiftly.

              Racing in the meadow.

Moving with subtle beauty and eloquence.

              Nature's phoenix.

Never heard by prey or predator.

              Hardly ever seen.

    Almost invisible like a hummingbird.

              Sweet by the sight.

A wondorous form of pure life.

              A daily mystery.

    Beautifully serene to all.

              The silent dragonfly.

Personally, I like to write more about things in nature. I'm hoping it will show people the beauties.. read more
No words can typically describe the race of elegant wings as they beat around the back of a beautiful and unique animal such as the dragonfly and yet you captured it so well! Nicely penned, going on my favorites list due to severe memories stirred by dragonfly's and my emotional attachment to the matter. Nicely and eloquently penned. Best regards, Dell
