Roses of Fire

Roses of Fire

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver
"

Year poem was written: 2013

"

They bloom amongst pain and sorrow,

             for it is their sunlight.

Surrounded by wide rivers of blood,

             for it is their water.

With great thorns as sharp as claws,

             they eagerly pierce human flesh.

Rich in poison of the foulest sort,

that causes writhing pain for all.

They are grown within the heart of hell,

for they are the devil's favorite flower.

A beautiful description for the flower of hell. I like how you give them life and purpose. No weakness in the amazing poetry.
