Bound By The Chains

Bound By The Chains

Bound By The Chains

Metal scrapes across our skin

Cold and harsh

It rattles annoyingly

Taunting you

Mocking you

Laughing at you

The sad eyes of your old friends

The frown of your love

They all stand over your grave

The old you is gone

They don’t accept you, but I do

You are changed, you are special

They can’t see it

Maybe they don’t care

They don’t want to admit it

The way you dress

The way you do your hair

The way you talk

It has all changed

They hate you for it

They left you because of it, but I didn’t

They are like the chains

They bound you

They hurt you

They taunt you

They mock you

They laugh at you

They taunt us

They mock us

They laugh at us

We are both bound by the chains

The chains society put on us

Why don’t we break these chains?

You and I?

Together?

Two friends?

Us against them

Two rebels against the world

It’s not impossible, so why can’t we fight back?

This is a very cool poem! I love it!! This poem has the kind of out-going openminded attitude I wish all people have! Nice work! Hope you make another poem!!!
