You'll Always be My Best Friend

You'll Always be My Best Friend

A Poem by Mel
"

Well, what can I say? It's true. Rest In Peace.

"

The flowers on your grave are nice
They’re not too over the top
I’m not sure you’d have chosen them
But I guess they’re a nice prop
If you could have picked your place of rest
I think you’d have wanted to rest there
It’s quiet and peaceful like you’d want
With a light breeze in the air
Your parents are coping ok I guess
Although, of course, they’re sad
As we stand together to say goodbye
Your mum is hugging your dad
Your aunt and uncle are crying
Your cousins are upset too
The tears are falling all around
During our last goodbye to you
I promise I wont forget all the fun
You’ll always be my best friend
But I wish I could have seen you once more
Before your life came to its end

This is touching. (One small note: the "it's" in the last sentence should be "its".)
It seems like your friend was very well-loved, and that is more than anyone could hope for in life.
My sincerest condolences to you and your friend's family.
