Believing

Believing

A Poem by astoundinglyattractive

When people bbring me down i try to smile

just to prove that they can't touch me

even if they can, and even if they hurts

I believe that if i pretend i am strong

one day i will be

When i am burning inside, i pretend there are no flames

pretend that everything is okay

and pretend that i have never felt any pain

because it's easier to be fake

When i am crying inside, i lift my lip up in a smirk

snark out a witty remark,

and laugh as if i'm totally secure

because i believe if other people see me like that

then one day i must become so

And i believe that the clkouds will soon part

and the rain will cease to fall

and the fog will drift away

Yes, i believe the sun will rise one day.

It just hasn't had a chance.
