Monsters

Monsters

A Poem by Faith Elizabeth

They’re crawling just below the surface
And hiding under my skin.
They’re tearing me apart inside
And I’m wondering when my life will end.
The monster keep crawling
And ripping me to shreds,
But still I keep my tears and screams of agony,
Buried deep within.
The monsters are getting closer now,
I’m starting to fall apart
But you don’t seem to care.
I’m growing much weaker now
And my thoughts are getting darker
As I give into my demons.
The pain I feel won’t matter soon
Because I’ve lost this war already,
And it’s time for me to go.
I feel the sharp of edge of a life
That ended much too soon
As my final thoughts drift to
You.
