My forever lost father

My forever lost father

A Poem by FaithfullyJennyBear
"

First poem I have created in a year or two now... hope it's okay <3

"
"Hurry up Daddy, please come home?
Bring me sweets and crisps and gum?"

Chanting whispered lullabies,
hearing nothing but babies cries.
Daddy left, he's not coming home.
Daddy left.. I feel so alone.

He called me beautiful,
I miss him so,
please come, daddy,
please come home?

I miss your cuddles daddy,
I miss getting picked up,
it's hard to see where I will be
without my daddy's love...

"Hurry up daddy, please come home?
Bring me sweets and crisps and gum?"

Turning 18 was probably the hardest thing I had to do, knowing I am now an adult and haven't seen my Dad since I was 3, long time... ah well, hope you liked it (:

well im happy you like my poem so much, didn't think it would affect someone else that much :)
The perspective of this is what I like the most...it's Terribly sad in that sweet way...I love it in its simplicity. Great job it's just enough for wet eyes and not too much to smother.

This is such a sad poem...but beautifully expressed for such a harsh topic. Excellent work.

Awhm this was beautiful, it was wonderful. You really got your emotions in this. I think you've grown brightly.

A sad poem. I understand the poem. I had a AWOL father. I found him when I was older. I learn to understand why we had the separation. I like the desire of receiving simple gifts of snacks and treats from a loving father. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I read good books when I can't write. Help me create.
What a powerful, poignant, emotional glimpse into you... your words breathe like a sweetly haunting lullaby... Made me ache in the distance you've felt for so long... Thank you for sharing your beautiful heart.
