Sleepless nights

Sleepless nights

A Poem by Faladah
"

A poem about you

"

The things unspoken, the things unseen

The lawless nights, the endless dream.

You hands I remember, the look on your face

Your warmth and strength, your sweet embrace.

For once I would like to sleep trough the night

Not to be woken by this endless fright.

The touch of love, disaster, I remember it all

The dreams keep on coming, none I can recall.

Your eyes I forgot and since then I moved on

I knew I had lost you and I knew you had won.

So I found a new love and a place to call home

Yet in my dreams you still won’t leave me alone.

The things we did and never spoke about,

Now linger in thoughts that I can do without.

All day long I am watching your empty eyes

Forgetting the whispers, believing your lies.

Once more I have fallen and once more I will crawl

But once more I will walk and no more shall I fall.

The nights might be silent, the whispers might scream

But soon I will remember you are no more but a dream.

This is a wonderful work.
You have expressed your feelings and past relationship quite eloquently.
Love these lines:
"The nights might be silent, the whispers might scream
But soon I will remember you are no more but a dream."
