Locked Up

Locked Up

A Poem by Follan

I've kept you locked,
In the cold,
Taking the happy pills,
I've feed you my whole life,
I kept hand out of the cookie jar,
But not you,
You've spit the happy pills,
Ate my dessert,
Knocked out cold,
I've found you coloring my life,
Out of the lines,
I've kept you locked,
So I don't color the walls red,
So I swallow my happy pills hoping that you'll too,
But the locks are getting old,
Scratching my heart like a lottery ticket,
You open one of my locks,
I run to the happy pills ,comfort,
But they were gone,
There you came ripping me,
Making me paint the walls gray before we dip the world in red,
I can see......
