Hail Muse etc.

Hail Muse etc.

A Poem by Fallstar

Cold Muse, you whisper like a gentle breeze

To some deep pool, too moved to move;

No Narcissus could drown there for self's love,

Nor Diane bathe, nor Actaen watch from trees.

Pond scum would not kiss where you have so whored;

You batter me with shallows, dull and drear,

The dousing will kill me. This is my fear.

I fear the shallows; I fear being bored.

So I will fight, I will take you by force.

Call not your lovers; they cannot save you:

Give me heroic song, and a sweet kiss.

I would sing of shield and sword hero's horse;

I would sing of  knights, ladies and love most true;

I could sing thus, with aught to sing, like bliss.

NIcely written. We all long for such a muse, the very spark that seems to have ignited this little gem.^^
