Syncopation

Syncopation

A Poem by Le' Pugh'
"

I think it's crap... y'all judge please.

"

Jammin’ sing-song

Syncopation

Dancin’ so long

Exhalation

Free wind breezin’

Cool correction

Prospect seizin’

Brief connection

Wandrin’ gypsy

Jubilation

Condescension

Marks a nation

Ragamuffin

Stands bemused

What’s the weapon

That was used

Made heartbeat

Go pitter-patter

Left insane

The town Mad-Hatter

Stop this train

I need to leave

Time is closing

Must believe

One way up

Many down

Embrace the truth

Embrace the truth…

                Embrace the truth,

Heaven bound

love the riff and the jazz undercurrent that pulls you through this one - wasn't expecting the almost spiritual ending, but it works - good job!

I really thought the form
is subtle in a brilliant way
as each sentence completes
a singular thought
adding to the entire structure
What I like is the way you took a jamboree
emotion and entwined it into metaphor
to reflect todays time
and warring events
le' exceptional writng
thanks for sharing
