we are everywhere

we are everywhere

A Poem by Ben Walton
"

"From the ashes and the embers, Like a rocket I'll ascend Like a cry gone up for fallen friend."

"

this
this used to be a new idea.
this ring
used to not fit around your finger.
it only begins
because we began and like the ring, the end is the beginning.
the alpha is the
omega.

i want you to
finger the locket around your neck.
open it and
feel the picture
read the note
examine the
handwriting.
take a deep breath in.
the fingers that you touch with
were once nothing.
and the fingers i
scribbled
carved
touched
remembered
with used to be intertwined with your nothings.
the
warm spring
air you breathe
is the last
breath of the dying, the first breath of the living.
the sand
under your feet
was once rocks of clay.
much like the rock we stand on tonight.
memories like this have been
made before.
memories like the rock that i'll carve this
into and keep where no elements can erode it
because we are this
and we are now
and we are forever
and we are everything
and we are everywhere.

Wow! This poem says a lot. I love the flow. It was an easy read but the emotions were powerful. This is very good!
