Lived Long and Prospered

Lived Long and Prospered

A Poem by FarisGreybear

"

logical, reasoned, through all four seasons
the voyages we made, under the oak shade

teaching me, reaching me, shining my soul

no orans posture, just simple hand
heart a-beating, always bleeding

the fires of vulcan, stoked with coal

goodwill that never dies, comfort to my cries
friends yet strangers, never more intimate

warming me, forming me, filled in the hole

lived long and prospered, conspicuous truth
intellectual sensitivity, calculate proclivity

milky way swirls in my wooden bowl
