verse.one
Chaotian ocean, liquid stone, so began home.
Hadean flames, soon joined by friendly moon.
Archean banks of the Komati, magnesium foam.
Proterozoic oxygen, the mass extinction doom.

chorus.
Humans on the scene, redefining mean.
All nature dominated, decimated, desecrated.
now my rocks are covered with anthropocene,
and this mammal civilization is highly over-rated.

verse.two
Cambrian explosion of life, creation Paleozoic.
Carboniferous rainforest collapse, thanks to ferns.
Godzilla stomps on stage, totally Mesozoic.
Jurassic world cleared away by volcanic burns.

verse.three
Cenozoic asteroid of iridium, dinosaurs blown away.
Paleogene in my mind, ruled by mammals and birds.
Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum, show us the way.
When the oceans warmed before we made words.
