'Twixt Two Doors

'Twixt Two Doors

A Poem by Xander
"

Something I wrote a while ago.

"
Given a choice, twixt two doors.
I can only walk through one.
Staring between my two choices,
I recognize both as places I've been before.

Through the one lies familiarity, passion,
and knowledge that we may just burn out again.
Through the other lies hope, strength,
and the realization that I may not be enough.

As I stand here, my heart is torn asunder,
and hopelessness fills my soul.

Looking to the one side, the savory smell of fresh fruit
taunts my senses, and make me want to walk that path.
Looking to the other, a burning passion,
brings back the memories of  that autumn long past.

Given a choice, twixt two doors.
I can only walk through one.
Staring between my two choices,
I have no clue which one.
