The Butterfly Dance

The Butterfly Dance

A Poem by Fearless Sunshine

She captures a heart in the palm of her hand

Letting it float up high but not forgetting how to land

She stands her ground with her head up in the clouds

And she looks out her window and she smiles

She thinks to herself maybe just a little while

Little butterfly girl

She's up against the world

She's too young to understand

But she gets back up, she just keeps on dancing

Under the shining sun

She just wants to have fun

Little butterfly girl

Capturing life in every twirl

Little butterfly girl

Up against the world

Little butterfly girl

Letting people know "here I am"

She takes her dreams and lets them flow

Closing her eyes letting them go where they go

She sings take care as she watches them go there

And she let's all of her hair just fall down

As she envisions her little princess crown

She doesn't have to rewind

She can take her own time

Before her a fresh clean slate

Room for future mistakes
