The Sun Still Shines

The Sun Still Shines

A Poem by Fearless Sunshine

What can I say?

I want you to see me.

The  sun still shines when you’re not around.

I can take it easy without friction.

It wasn’t meant to last.

Thanks for nothing.

You can take as long as you want.

Go ahead.

Think about me when you’re with her.

I will gladly step to the side.

I’ve found better things.

Better things don’t include you, I’ve discovered.

Thanks for nothing.

Say goodbye.

I can’t wait for you to see me.

The sun still shines when you’re not around.

I can take it easy with friction.

It wasn’t meant to last.

Thanks for nothing.
