A Poem to My Younger Self

A Poem to My Younger Self

A Poem by Feem
"

I wrote this while sitting in a classroom, observing someone sitting quietly in the corner. I tired to imagine what they would be feeling like, and I was reminded of myself. So, I wrote this poem.

"
A poem to my younger self.
Behind my bright blue eyes.
Clueing to a bigger meaning.
Deriving deep inside.
Everything I’ve known.
From my beginning thoughts.
Godspeed your realization.
Heed to your naught.
I know I must tell you,
Just of the pain that you’ll endure
Know you’ll be okay,
Listen to my words.
Mask your face with happiness
No, don’t let them know
Oh for soon you’ll realize
People dislike your different flow.
Quit with your negativity,
Relax and just remember
Soon enough you’ll wake up
To realize those years are over
Understand the significance,
Vouch for being different.
With every year you spent,
X’d out their hurtful opinions
You know now you’ll be stronger
Zealed by all your experience
All those years were important.
Believe it, with full endearment.

Feem
I write in a funky rhythm, but whenever recited out loud, it is possible to say in a very smooth and fast paced rhythm.
